Katarzyna Pagowska about her time in Rejmyre: “In Rejmyre, the difficult past meets the even more complicated present. The artist walks around the city, stumbles upon an empty fountain; on fences, locks and other protective layers; on that newly opened glass factory; on a tilted street lamp. In the face of the global polycrisis, to what extent can a vulnerable artist offer and seek shelter in the vulnerable city?”
Katarzyna Pagowska is an artist based in Poland. Her main artistic areas are performative acts, installation and photography. Katarzyna has studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw university (M.A.), sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (MFA), and Fine Art at Falmouth College of Fine Arts, UK. She has also graduated from one postmaster’s program in art in public space at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm.
