About Sissi Westerberg’s work during the Performing Labour ensemble residency, from the Perforing Labour product catalouge:
“The Break Bubble can be easily assembled by following the instructions provided. In less than 20 minutes you will have a ready-to-go monument to the break in your workplace. The fan that inflates the bubble is connected to a timer that can be programmed to a sequence of inflation and deflation corresponding to your workplace
schedule.
Creates a monument to the break.
Works well in factories with excess space and abandoned or under-used coffee tables.
Brings attention to other dimensions of existence that are outside of the work sphere.
NOTE: Not observing break may result in irrational behavior and a merging of work and life.”
