FILIP OLSZEWSKI  Monument to the Discarded Ideas of the Artist

About Filip Olszewski’s work during the Performing Labour ensemble residency, from the Perforing Labour product catalouge:

“A convenient receptacle for ideas in need of being ‘knocked off ’/discarded/reprocessed. Made of pure black glass and coated in mineral oil, slippery and difficult to lift. Additionally, there is a glowing red LED light indicating processing.

For use when an idea is either, too old, too new or not good enough by some other measure. Fits well in any artist workspace. Helps to release productivity or artistic blockages. Reminds the artist of all the time and energy spent on unrealized projects”
