Opening hours:

During Ascension weekend (May 12–16), the artists will be present, continuing to work on their installations in Engelska Magasinet.
Four crafts-based artists who have recently graduated from Konstfack University of Art Craft and Design present works spanning jewelry art, video, and sculptural installations. The body, craft, and the relationship to “fragility” are recurring themes that connect these four artistic practices. Materials such as wood, ice, metal, silicone, grass, and hair appear as components in this innovative, evolving exhibition, taking place at Rejmyre Art Lab, in the exhibition hall Engelska Magasinet in Rejmyre.
“How dependent am I on my surroundings? Which spiritual aspects do we need to connect to? What remains when I disappear? Who is the body?”
“Departing from questions of human collectives, the traces of time, and the fragility of life, we follow up on each other in a shifting exhibition: our conversation. The Fragile Conversation is an ongoing negotiation, an open artistic process in transformation. We are four artists and craftspeople engaged in this conversation, and with the starting point of human fragility we meet in a continuous, creative dialogue. With skill, we let our hands work. We do not set goals; instead, we follow where the conversation takes us. Perhaps it is not answers we seek, but further questions and commas. We speak through hands and materials, with words and reflection, in the pauses between breaths. The materials are as much a part of the dialogue as we are; the conversation is born here and now.
During the exhibition’s final five days, we will be on site, working in the space. Visitors are welcome to come in, participate, and for a moment disappear with us into the world of art. Instead of only seeing completed objects, the visitor is invited to take part in the artistic process where it happens, watching the work change before their eyes. The space shifts; new objects appear, change, and disappear as the conversation unfolds.”
